Drawing on Empathy. Did you know—-studies show that when we draw others, we develop our capacity for empathy and trust. In this session we will bring our (bad!) drawing skills into play! The worse drawing ability you have, the more fun this practice is. With a short introduction to some drawing methods, we’ll play with drawing others. Empathy, compassion, intimacy, and active listening are all qualities that will be nourished through this practice. We begin as usual with a short centering meditation, and then dive into some drawing play.
All materials are provided. No art skill or previous experience required. Interest of familiarity with Buddhist practice a plus but not a requirement. Suggested donation of $20 per class. Register in advance, as space is limited. To register, or with questions: email jilleggers9@gmail.com.
