This series is created especially for people in addiction recovery, to enhance and develop those skills that foster resilience and open spirit in life--but open and relevant to anyone who wants an intimate relationship with their creativity, playfulness, interactive skills, and joy! Each session includes a short guided meditation and creative exploration, in a friendly, welcoming community. The classes all draw on the twelve step program philosophy of surrender, personal accountability, and spiritual growth through peer support. Please join us if you would like to explore these qualities in a warm and playful way!
My Mandala Saturday, Jan 9, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. In this extended session, we’ll look at the Tibetan Buddhist idea of Sacred View, which invites us to consider all of experience to be sacred, luminous, and the path to enlightenment. In this view, everyone and everything we encounter is sacred, and part of our mandala—the kaleidoscopic, experiences, relationships, and layers that are our life path. Using collage as well as painting and drawing media, we’ll create a visual sacred mandala of our lives and relationships. This session touches on identity, inter-being, self care, self compassion, giving and receiving, and communication.
